(260) 308.4335 Questions about buying or selling in Auburn? Give us a call. Send a messageAuburn's roots run through the Auburn Automobile Company. In the 1920s E.L. Cord took over the company, and later added Duesenberg, turning Auburn into a name car collectors still know around the world. The original company headquarters now houses the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, which is a National Historic Landmark.
The center of town is the DeKalb County Courthouse, built between 1911 and 1914. The blocks around it make up the Downtown Auburn Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It's a walkable downtown with historic storefronts and a small pocket park, Courtyard Park, on the corner of Cedar and Seventh Streets.
Another thing worth knowing: the City of Auburn runs its own utilities. Auburn Essential Services, a city department, provides electric, water and fiber internet service. When you're comparing homes, ask about utility providers and costs for the specific address, and we can help you track that down.
