1. Distance yourself. Even though you’ve had a ton of memories in your home, now’s the time to offer it as a product for others to purchase. Prepare your home for its new owners.

2. Depersonalize. The photos hanging over your mantle and fridge need to come down and make space for others to visualize their family’s photos in its place.

3. Declutter. We all have a lot of stuff. I get it. It’s important to get as many items out of the home as possible to allow buyers to see more of the home they’re buying. Start with items in plain sight, then move to drawers, cabinets, and closets.

4. Deep clean. It’s time for your home to shine again. A little bit of soap and elbow grease will help your home sparkle.
